ABOUT ME
I'm Libi Gurdus, a Berlin-based designer with a somewhat unexpected journey. My professional life began in education before my growing interest in design pulled me in a new direction a bit after my mid-twenties. This led me to Universität der Künste Berlin (UDK), where I completed my product design bachelor's degree in March 2025.

Although I am no longer active in the educational field, I draw strong inspiration from my attentive and personal educational approach, which often translates into the way I think and act as a designer. My design approach is holistic and rooted in the dialogue between objects and their real-life context: needs, habits, and challenges. I am well aware of how interaction with our belongings, consumption, and aesthetics influences our reality, and I aim to create objects that are conscious of those aspects and are designed with social responsibility. Additionally, I enjoy working with unconventional strategies and concepts to reframe familiar objects and give them new relevance.
During the final year of my studies, I completed an internship at Studio Berg, a Berlin based design studio, where I gained hands on experience in object development, brand identity, production techniques, and the creation of a cohesive visual language. These experiences shaped my holistic approach to product design, deepened my visual and conceptual language, and provided a strong foundation for understanding real world production processes. Since the fall of 2025, I have been working as a product designer at CNB Berlin, where I continue to broaden my design horizons into the fields of textile and graphic design.
