NUA is an experimental swinging stool designed to encourage regular, dynamic movement—even during extended periods of sitting. Designed to question familiar ideas of furniture, NUA broadens our understanding of what a stool can be. It invites playfulness into the home and encourages exploration of varied sitting postures as part of the daily routine.

The name NUA comes from the Hebrew word for “move” in the imperative form, reflecting the stool’s core intention. Developed as part of a research project on swinging forms, NUA emerged through the exploration of diverse geometries aimed at identifying the essential criteria for achieving the perfect swing.
