STEPS

STEPS is a piece of furniture designed for a reality in which our global resources, budgets, and living spaces are continually shrinking. The idea was to create an object that combines two different functions for two different scenarios: a chair, which we use daily, and a stepladder, which is needed only occasionally and often requires a dedicated storage solution when not in use. The transition between the two functions is achieved without any additional mechanisms – simply by flipping the object upside down: from a chair to a stepladder, or the other way around.
